Hey Everyone, My name is Caitlin Dechelle. I am 14 years old. I live in Miami, FL. Karate is my passion! My grandpa suggested I try karate and see how I like it. I went to my first karate class when I was 6 years old and I have been training ever since 5 to 6 days per week. I have attained black belts in three styles; Chinese Kenpo, Japanese Goju Ryu and my current style Tae Kwon Do.
I currently train at Integrity Martial Arts, which is an ATA (American Tae Kwon Do Association) school when I am in Miami and when I travel, I train with my XMA (Extreme Martial Arts) coach Mike Chaturantabut. I have competed on the NASKA (North American Sport Karate Association) circuit for several years now. I also compete on the WSKF (World Sport Karate Federation) circuit. To date, I have earned 16 World Titles in NASKA (Forms, Weapons and Fighting) and 5 World Titles in WSKF (Forms & Weapons) as well as winning the AKA (American Karate Association) Warrior Cup. Last November, I was invited to go to Paris France to compete in the French Open 04.
I won all of my divisions and won the Overall Women's Grand Championship. The tournament was cool but the sightseeing was the bomb! I love competition because it is very challenging and a lot of fun!
